Terms of Service
Effective September 7, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Deadline Guardian. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Deadline Guardian is a business recordkeeping, document-organization and reminder service. It can help you track dates and identify likely dates in documents, but you are responsible for reviewing and confirming all information before relying on it.
Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding your password and maintaining appropriate access to your account. You may not use the service for unlawful activity, to interfere with the service or to upload content you do not have the right to use.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe according to the price and billing period shown at checkout. Features and usage limits vary by plan. You are responsible for applicable taxes and for keeping payment information current. Cancellation and downgrade tools may be provided through the service or the billing provider.
Reminder delivery
Reminders are a convenience feature. Email, SMS, internet, carrier and third-party outages can delay or prevent delivery. You remain responsible for your deadlines even if a reminder is delayed, filtered, blocked or not delivered.
SMS terms
Text reminders are available only on eligible plans and only after you actively opt in. By enabling SMS reminders, you agree to receive recurring transactional text messages about deadlines you choose to track. Message frequency varies based on your reminder settings. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Reply STOP to opt out of text reminders. Reply HELP for help. You can also disable text reminders in Deadline Guardian Settings. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your content
You retain ownership of the information and documents you provide. You grant Deadline Guardian the limited rights needed to host, process, display and transmit that content solely to provide and secure the service.
Third-party services
Deadline Guardian may depend on third-party providers such as hosting, payment, email and SMS services. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply to their services.
Service availability and changes
We may improve, modify or discontinue features and may perform maintenance. During the beta period, features can change as we improve reliability and customer experience.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every compliance or deadline requirement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Deadline Guardian will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses caused by missed deadlines or undelivered reminders. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
