Privacy Policy

Deadline Guardian is designed to help businesses organize important deadlines, documents and reminders. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your email address, business name and timezone; deadline information you create; documents or document content you choose to scan or upload; usage and security information; and, if you enable text reminders, your mobile number and records of your SMS consent.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Deadline Guardian does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

How we use information

We use information to operate the service, maintain your account, store and display your deadlines, process documents you submit, deliver in-app/email/text reminders you enable, process subscriptions, secure the service, troubleshoot problems and improve Deadline Guardian.

Service providers

We may use service providers that process information on our behalf, including hosting/infrastructure providers, Stripe for billing, Resend for email delivery and Twilio for SMS delivery. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

Mobile privacy: We do not sell your mobile number or SMS opt-in information. Mobile numbers and SMS consent data are not shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. They may be provided to service providers solely as needed to deliver the text-message service you requested or as required by law.

SMS consent records

If you enable text reminders, we may retain your phone number, opt-in status, consent timestamp, consent source, the version of the disclosure you accepted and limited technical information used to document the consent event. You can disable text reminders in Settings or reply STOP to a Deadline Guardian text.

Document Wallet storage

When you upload a supported file to the Document Wallet, Deadline Guardian may retain the original file and extracted text so you can view, search, download and connect that document to deadlines. Wallet files are available only through authenticated account access. Removing a document removes the stored source file while preserving any deadline records you choose to keep.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, billing, dispute resolution and legal obligations. You can export your Deadline Guardian data from Settings. Account-deletion functionality may require contacting support during the public beta.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a unique password and limit uploads to information appropriate for the service.

Your choices

You may choose not to enable email or text reminders. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP or disabling text reminders in Settings.

Children

Deadline Guardian is a business service and is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
